Peer Research Consultant Program

The Peer Research Consultant (PRC) program at the Art and Design Library is a unique undergraduate initiative aimed at helping students develop research and information literacy skills.

Peer Research Consultants (PRCs)

Do you need help finding sources for a project or research paper? Not sure how to get started or how to find what you need in the library? Want to build your confidence with research skills? Peer Research Consultants (PRCs) are here to help! PRCs are available to help you find relevant, quality information to complete course assignments, pique your curiosity, and be successful!

Consultants are friendly, approachable, and trained in research skills, so you can develop confidence and ask any question about research and library resources. PRCs are available in-person at variable hours at the Information Desk.

Who Are We?

Nour Tarroun

Hello there, I'm a junior majoring in Art History. As the Lead Peer Research Consultant in the library, I'm dedicated to assisting students with their academic work and ensuring they get the most out of our resources. When I clock out of my studies and work, I like going on sunset walks while listening to audiobooks or some country music. When I wind down after a long day, I grab a paper and pen to jot down some poetry lines, which usually depend on highlights and moments from my day. Feel free to pass by and say hi, I'd love to help or chat about art, books, or music!

Abdalla Al-Bander

Hi, my name is Abdalla. I am a freshman and a Peer Research Consultant. Some of my interests are video games, comics and music and my favorite animals are cats (specifically black cats but any kind is great). I chose this position to hone my skills in assisting people and to help them discover all of the helpful resources our library has to offer. I still haven't decided on a major, so feel free to come and chat if you are in the same boat, or if you need any help around the library!

Hi, I’m a junior majoring in Interior Design. As a PRC in the library, I enjoy helping students discover resources that make their projects more exciting and manageable. Whether it’s finding the perfect book or brainstorming creative ideas, I love supporting the research process. When I’m not in the library, I’m usually working on design projects or geeking out over Formula 1—did you know car designs can inspire interiors too? A fun fact about me is that I enjoy exploring how design combines function and creativity to tell a story. If you’re ever stuck with your research or just want to bounce around some design ideas, come say hi—I’m always up for a good chat!

Hey, I’m a senior majoring in Graphic Design, I work as a Peer Research Consultant as well. During my free time, I enjoy reading and solving puzzles which helps me destress, along with organizing (yes, I think organizing is fun!). I’ve always loved being part of the library because they bring people together, and I love being around books. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help with anything.
